Golden sunflowers bloom in Guanshanhu district

The sun is shining brightly in July, the season when sunflowers are currently out in all their glory and recently, by a 50-kilometer ring road on Bawangpo in Jinhua town of Guanshanhu district, enthusiasts viewed a glorious field of blooming sunflowers that covered an area of 3,000 mu (200 hectares).

The Guanshnhu district is located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

A key agricultural tourism industry project in Jinhua town this year, the flower plantation there has cultivated two varieties of edible sunflowers and ornamental sunflowers.

The edible sunflowers are expected to be picked in mid-to-early August, while the ornamental sunflowers will continue to bloom until early October.

The town is preparing to build an observation deck, a camping base and other facilities to offer tourists a great experience.
