Guanshanhu unveils new incentives for introducing investment

Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, capital Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently rolled out a number of measures to attract more investment and businesses, according to a circular issued by local authorities. 

The circular targets newly introduced enterprises (except real estate enterprises) with funding from outside the province, with independent legal person status and with independent accounting. They must register in, pay tax to and operate in the district, and focus on key industries in line with the district's industrial development orientation. 

The circular offers specific provisions on incentives for enterprise introduction, manufacturing development, building settlement, enterprise listing, and social investment promotion.

For example, for Fortune Global 500 enterprises, China's top 500 enterprises, and China's top 100 private enterprises that have begun operating in Guizhou for the first time and set up group headquarters (excluding regional and functional headquarters) in Guanshanhu, one-time rewards of 20 million yuan ($2.99 million), 15 million yuan and 10 million yuan will be offered, respectively. 

Enterprises, institutions and individuals introducing electronic information manufacturing and organic food industrial projects with investment of 50 million yuan each or more will be rewarded 200,000 yuan after projects begin operation in the district and are recognized by the local investment authority. 

Specific provisions on land use support, leasing, general purchases, equipment purchases and other incentives for manufacturing enterprises are also included in the circular, and it is stated that the local government will offer policy support and a full range of services to high-tech and profitable enterprises with strong influence, as well as listed enterprises.
