During this year's Qingming Festival holiday on April 3-5, the Guanshanhu district of Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – received 167,000 visits and recorded 98.93 million yuan ($15.14 million) in tourist revenue.
Most visitors like to go on an outing in the spring or enjoy looking at flowers in the rural areas. Commercial areas were also popular with visitors, adding to Guanshanhu's coffers.
To ensure safety and prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, before the break, Guanshanhu officials inspected shops, venues and areas involved in culture, sports and tourism. No accident reports or complaints were received during the holiday.
