Guanshanhu maps out industrial economy development for 2022

The Guanshanhu district of Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – is understood to have made plans to promote electronics information manufacturing and organic food processing since the start of the year, in a bid to attract investment and construct standardized production plants.

In the first quarter, the district is said to have attracted 2 billion yuan ($314.48 million) of paid-up investment, signed up 111 major projects and introduced nine high-quality companies.

Under the plans, Guanshanhu aims to exceed 21 billion yuan of total industrial output in the current year – including 15 billion yuan of output value for industries above a designated size and 4.5 billion yuan of industrial investment.

In January, the district issued a pilot blueprint to get business entities to support the development of industrial companies and boost the high-quality industrial development of the district.

From January to February this year, Guanshanhu's added value of industries above a designated size increased by 31.9 percent year-on-year, while industrial investment totaled 1.01 billion yuan, up 11.59 percent year-on-year.

Moving forwards, plans are for the district in the current year to start construction of 1.1 million square meters of standard factories, some 700,000 sq m of which will be completed within the year.

Furthermore, Guanshanhu's talent base for the modern manufacturing industry will also work with 12 research institutions and universities to train people with the resources of municipal government departments, universities and companies.
