The Guanshanhu district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently started to extend the office hours for its government affairs services to provide much more convenience for locals.
Currently, the Guanshanhu government affairs service center has 130 service windows – for tax, social security, medical insurance and public security, among others.
As long as you take a number before 5 pm, the services windows will handle your application even after office hours, said one of the applicants.
Wang Xue, an employee of the Guanshanhu government affairs service center, said it handles applications from various companies and is extremely busy during the tax payment period.
It's common for staff to work overtime during peak periods and they make sure all applicants with waiting numbers complete their applications in one time.
