The Guanshanhu district of Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – hosted more than 100 government officials and employees who voluntarily planted trees at Guanshanhu Park on Feb 7, the first working day after the Spring Festival holiday.
On the day, 630 cherry trees covering 15 mu (1 hectare) were planted. In recent years, Guanshanhu has striven to protect the natural environment and preserved 174,868 mu of forest, with a forest coverage rate of 46.02 percent.
