The Guanshanhu district of Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – signed an agreement with Taikang Healthcare Investment Holdings on Dec 3, for the company to open a special residential community that provides healthcare services for senior citizens.
Under the agreement, Taikang Healthcare will establish an eldercare facility covering 73,000 square meters with at least 1,300 beds. The community will introduce the concept of a continuing care community, to provide living and healthcare services for the elderly.
The project is expected to optimize the health service in Guanshanhu's community life circles and boost the high-quality development of the district's healthcare industry.
Qin Yongkang, head of Guanshanhu, said the district will consider the project as a significant development and establish a special work team to help complete it and start operations there as soon as possible.
