The Guiyang Metro Line 2 which opened on April 28 is widely seen to have fundamentally improved Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport's previous deficient position -- of being an aviation facility with only high-speed rail and no metro.
Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport is located in the eastern suburbs of Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- only 11 kilometers away from the city center.

The Guiyang airport high-speed rail station and metro station are located on the second basement of the parking lot in front of Terminal 2. Passengers can take elevators and escalators directly to both stations at gates 7, 8, 11 and 12.
The Guiyang Metro Line 2 passes through Guanshanhu, Huaxi and Nanming districts in Guiyang.
The official start of operation of the Guiyang airport metro station is said to mark a major step in the development of the airport's three-dimensional transport, as it now has a system that integrates airport buses, taxis, online ride-hailing, high-speed rail and metro transportation.
