Guanshanhu to become a building economy high land

Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been devoted to becoming a pilot area for the innovation of the building economy. Currently, the district has attracted 29 building economy-related companies with a total registered capital of 543 million yuan ($84.04 million).

The building economy aims to maximize building space utilization and improve the quality and grade of buildings. Guanshanhu has established a work team to launch supporting policies involving building construction, investment attraction, operation and company cultivation.

Guanshanhu has organized government departments, sub-districts and companies to investigate the district's spare buildings, under-construction buildings and the building industry's essential information to provide investment attraction data.

Data shows that the district is home to 111 commercial buildings with a total floor space of 5.84 million square meters. Of the total, 5.47 million sq m are in 108 completed buildings, while 371,500 sq m are in three buildings that are under construction.

The district is constructing buildings to accommodate the architecture, exhibition and media industries based on the sectors' demands.

Guanshanhu also organized investment promotion teams to hold building economy promotion meetings in Chengdu, Shenzhen and Shanghai to showcase the district's business environment, supporting policies and high-quality building resources.

In the future, Guanshanhu district will continue cultivating buildings with featured industries and hold targeted investment attraction activities to create a building economy cluster.
