Guanshanhu district in Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- has set up 110 service stations for outdoor staff to rest during their work breaks.
The stations have a uniform look, are positioned in suitable locations and come with well-equipped facilities, including tables, chairs, water fountains and medical kits.
Bao Xiaocheng, vice-chairman of the district's trade unions, said the construction of the service stations was a practical project to improve people's livelihoods and also an innovative measure to take care of outdoor workers including cleaners, builders and taxi drivers.
In future, the district plans to further expand the network of service stations to allow more outdoor workers to feel the warmth of the people and the city.
