The G7 Bonded Plaza in Guanshanhu district - located in the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province - has created new business models to tap the potential of Guiyang's medium and high-end consumer market.
Since it opened on January 18, the plaza has attracted more than 310,000 consumers, earning more than 9 million yuan ($1.37 million) in sales. Its offline sales total more than 7.2 million yuan and its sales of cross-border commodities has reached 800,000 yuan.
According to local officials, the plaza is an important project for Guiyang in terms of building an international, high quality sales platform to boost medium and high-end consumption and the real economy.
The plaza is the largest comprehensive cross-border e-commerce service platform integrating online and offline selling channels in Guizhou. Its online channel is based on the comprehensive cross-border e-commerce service platform of the Guiyang Free Trade Zone. The offline plaza features the sales and exhibition of import commodities as well as international cultural exchanges.
The plaza currently showcases more than 13,000 imported commodities in 10 categories covering cosmetics and wine as well as mother and baby products. It operates more than 100 internationally famous brands from more than 20 countries and regions.
The plaza has cooperated with 13 cross-border trading companies. By relying on the advantages of cross-border bonded business, customers can purchase authentic goods from overseas at a price 15-30 percent lower than the market level.
