A delegation from Pingdu city, Shandong province, visited Guanshanhu district in the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province from Oct 28 to 29 to explore cooperation opportunities.
The delegation was led by Xie Zhaocun, secretary of the CPC Pingdu committee, and investigated the district's industrial development in modern services, trade logistics and big data. The officials visited Guanshanhu Modern Service Industrial Experimental Zone, Guiyang Geely industrialization project, Guiyang Southwest International Trade City and Guizhou Big Data Exhibition Center.
During the investigation, the two sides exchanged views on development orientation and industrial layout. They also discussed the difficulties and problems encountered in the development process.
Xie said Guanshanhu has effectively accelerated urbanization to become an industrial highland in Guizhou through talent collection and high-end manufacturing. The district has also created an excellent financial circle with a livable environment by strengthening supporting facilities.
Tang Hui, secretary of the CPC Guanshanhu committee, said the district has made achievements in economic development and people's livelihoods. However, it is also facing the growing pressure of resource shortages in education, medical care and modern services.
Guanshanhu district signed a cooperation agreement with Pingdu city during the investigation. The two sides hope to establish a new mechanism for communication and to seek more opportunities for cooperation.
