Guanshanhu district in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has earned a spot on the 2020 list of the top 100 ecological counties in China.
The list, which was recently released by Xiaokang Magazine and various authoritative national departments and professional institutions, was based on a comprehensive evaluation which included network big data, county specific research, social public attitudes and an expert review. It was reported that the selection covered 2,657 county-level administrative units in China.
Guanshanhu district, located in the northwest of Guiyang, is being positioned as a new, central, ecological area of the city. It is a new urban area that started construction in 2000. Approved by the State Council in 2012 as an administrative district, it is an emerging city area with huge development space and obvious potential.
