Guiyang realizes partial coverage of 5G network

Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has built 547 5G base stations since the beginning of this year, with the Guanshanhu district section of Shubo Avenue (Big Data Expo Avenue) achieving full 5G coverage through China Mobile's 5G network.

To date, the construction of the 5G network has been finished along Changling Road of Shubo Avenue, while 5G base stations along other main roads like Yuntan South Road, Jinyang South Road, Jinzhu Road, Guanshan East Road, and Beijing West Road. have been completed, allowing residents to enjoy access to the 5G network in these areas.

In addition, 285 5G base stations in major communities are being planned, 267 of which have been completed.

Guiyang's Guanshanhu district has established a group to accelerate the information infrastructure construction with telecommunications service providers. The group aims to help providers and China Tower with difficulties during infrastructure construction to realize full coverage of 5G networks.

In the future, the group will encourage telecommunications service providers and China Tower to improve communication networks in rural areas, as well as speed up 5G network construction in Guanshanhu district.
