Modern Manufacturing Industrial Park (Geely Auto Industrial Park)

The Modern Manufacturing Industrial Park (Geely Auto Industrial Park) is located at the township of Jinhua in Guanshanhu district. Its planning area is about 30.2 square kilometers. In addition to giving priority to local production of Geely automobiles, it will develop supporting industries of auto parts, warehousing and logistics, business offices and other services for daily necessities in a move to build a new town connected with vehicles and featuring an integrated development of industries, urban construction and daily life.

The industrialized project of Geely Auto has been put into operation. About 21.9 billion yuan ($3.1 billion) has been invested in the Modern Manufacturing Industrial Park, with 8 billion yuan ($1.2 billion) used for the construction of infrastructure and standardized factory buildings.

The Modern Manufacturing Industrial Park now boasts standardized workshops of 300,000 square meters for auto production and is home to 35 relevant enterprises, 24 of which are involved in the production of auto parts and 21 of which are in trial production. 

Meanwhile, the local government has been in talks with the US chemical company Dow, Chinese home appliance giant Haier Group, and other large firms to woo their investment in 11 modern manufacturing projects. The Guda Electronics Manufacturing Base was listed as one of dozens of projects to be simultaneously constructed this March.

Furthermore, the Modern Manufacturing Industrial Park has started preparatory work for the building of Jinhua Industrial Town, which covers residential communities, businesses, offices, hotels, schools, hospitals, eco-vehicle parks, and community service centers in a bid to better meet its needs of supporting facilities.
