Guanshanhu shows strong growth

According to the First Quarter Prefecture Economy Statistical Monitoring Report of 2019, Guanshanhu district recorded a 166.7 percent growth rate of value added by industries above designated size directly under district management, ranking first among 88 prefectures (cities, districts, or special regions) in Guizhou province.

In 2019, the district is firmly implementing work arrangements of the central, provincial, and municipal governments, enhancing its precise support of business, prioritizing research and analysis of key industries, businesses and issues, taking timely remediation actions, and ensuring proper supply of production elements to support business activities. 

Through enhanced monitoring and coordination of industries, the district is further driving industrial restructuring, business upgrading, and high-quality economic development across its entire jurisdiction. 

For the next steps, the district will further enhance monitoring of the industrial economy, improve policy interpretation and promotion, help companies develop modern management systems and join district systems, and provide “butler-style” precise services to help resolve all kinds of disputes and issues faced by business. 

It will also develop a medium and high-end manufacturing industry represented by the whole-car manufacturing project by Geely, enhance efforts on whole industrial chain introduction, improve supportive capacity development on whole-car production, and construct a base for medium and high-end automobile manufacturing. 

With the vision specified in the “One Product and One Industry” policy, Guanshanhu is set to attract manufacturing of high-end garments, cases and bags, and to develop a cluster of advanced industrial resources. 

The district will guide companies to expedite technical transformation, promote business upgrading, and assist business in applying for special funds from national, provincial, and municipal programs. 

Additional efforts will be made by the district to establish a bank-corporate connection platform that will address financing needs of companies and enable better communication with banks.
