Xifeng's industrial output value doubles in five years

In 2025, the value added by large industrial enterprises in Xifeng reached 3.65 billion yuan ($547.37 million), doubling since 2021. Industry accounted for more than 60 percent of the county's economic growth. Over the past five years, the value added of these enterprises grew by an average of 18.5 percent annually.

Phosphorus and fluorine chemicals remain the backbone of Xifeng's industry. The county has developed a complete industrial chain from phosphate mining and processing to fine fluorine chemicals, generating 13.56 billion yuan in output value in 2025. Other sectors, including pharmaceuticals, new energy battery materials, and textiles and apparel, are also growing.

The new energy battery materials sector generated 310 million yuan in output value, while a textile and apparel industry emerged in the county. The county now has nearly 50 industrial enterprises above the designated size and has attracted 28 industrial projects over the past five years, with total investment of 10.37 billion yuan.

Industrial parks have contributed to this growth. Xifeng Economic Development Zone has continued to improve its infrastructure, with more than 800,000 square meters of standard factory buildings completed and over 6,300 mu (420 hectares) of land acquired and reserved. The zone accounts for more than 85 percent of the county's total industrial output value from enterprises above the designated size. Xifeng's phosphorus and coal chemical industrial base has also received provincial recognition as a chemical industrial park.

Green development and innovation are also gaining ground. Xifeng now treats all the phosphogypsum waste generated in the county and has added 11 manufacturing projects to municipal-level or higher green manufacturing lists.
