Jiuzhuang town in Xifeng county has been developing its rice, vegetable, livestock, and liquor industries simultaneously, injecting strong momentum into rural vitalization.

The town cultivated over 20,000 mu (1,333 hectares) of high-quality rice during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), producing more than 12,000 metric tons. This rice, known for its superior quality, is popular in surrounding cities and has even reached markets nationwide. Continuous improvements in rice varieties and expansion of planting areas have helped stabilize production and increase farmers' income.

In vegetable production, Jiuzhuang benefits from a favorable climate and convenient transport, growing over 10 common vegetable varieties. During the same period, the town's total vegetable output reached 323,000 tons. Freshly harvested vegetables can reach nearby cities such as Guiyang by the next day, supporting more than 100 large-scale farming households.

Livestock farming has also scaled up. The raising of pigs and broiler chickens has transitioned from small-scale and scattered operations to standardized and enterprise-supported systems, with farmers managing daily care. In the past five years, Jiuzhuang has produced 85,000 pigs. Broiler chicken output is expected to exceed 4 million birds this year, with egg production reaching 2,000 tons.
