Xifeng builds convenient transport network

Xifeng county has focused on the development of modern transportation during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period (2021-25).

"With the expressway now open, transportation costs have dropped, delivery times are shorter, and consumers can enjoy fresher fruit," Li Kun, head of Guizhou Jiajiayi Agricultural Technology Co in Xifeng County, said. From Guiyang, it takes only 40 minutes to reach the company's orchard via the newly opened Guiyang–Jinsha–Gulin Expressway.

The completion and opening of this expressway integrated Xifeng into the Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area metropolitan transport network in November 2023.

Xifeng has been developing its rural road transportation network to encourage tourists to stay in local villages for rural vacations and promote the development of specialty agriculture in mountainous regions.

The county has already built one county-level passenger station and eight township stations across its 11 towns and subdistricts, and opened 20 passenger bus routes. Passenger services now cover all villages, where residents can simply hail a passing bus by waving at the roadside.
