Li Chunsheng, vice director of the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, led a team to Xifeng county to inspect the progress on the 2023 additional national bond-funded geohazard risk avoidance and relocation project.
During the visit, Li received reports from the Xifeng county bureau of natural resources and planning on various aspects, including the protection of paleontological fossils, dynamic management of mineral resource reserves, geological exploration, farmland protection, and production safety.
He provided specific guidance on the implementation of the 2023 additional national bond-funded geohazard risk avoidance and relocation project approved for Xifeng county.
Li and his team then conducted on-site inspections of the relocation progress at two landslide sites: Mopan in Jinxing village and Mafunzhai in Shengli village, both located in Xishan town.
Li emphasized the need to ensure that the project completes all acceptance procedures and all funds are allocated by the end of December.
He also stressed the importance of strengthening monitoring and early warning systems to prevent geohazard risks, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property until the project is fully completed and residents have been relocated from the hazardous areas.
