During the National Day holiday from Oct 1 to 7, Xifeng county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, received 430,480 visitors and generated a total tourism revenue of 227 million yuan ($32.17 million), representing year-on-year increases of 21.91 percent and 24.03 percent, respectively.

Over the period, Xifeng organized 18 cultural tourism events and four National Day-themed travel routes to celebrate the occasion and provide a boost to the tourism market.

The cooler temperatures during this year's holiday lent a major boost to the city's already famous hot springs, with Nanshan Tianmu Hot Springs, Nanshan Yizhan Hot Springs, and Xifeng Hot Springs attracting large crowds. Tourists admired the hot springs and relaxed amid the lush mountains, making for a peaceful and carefree holiday experience.

Nanshan Tianmu Hot Springs launched an electronic music + water splash carnival, while Nanshan Building Blocks World and local homestays hosted National Day-themed events, attracting many visitors to experience new settings, explore innovative offerings, and simply soak in the atmosphere.
