5th Xiwang Mountain Paragliding Open Competition to kick off

The "Soaring Guizhou" Paragliding Competition and the 5th Xiwang Mountain Paragliding Open Competition will commence at the paragliding base in Luwo village, Xishan town, Xifeng county, on Sept 20, with over 80 professional paragliders from across the country set to soar over Xiwang Mountain.

With the theme "Humanity, Health, Nature, and Green", the event integrates sports, tourism, experiences, cuisine, culture, and leisure, showcasing the unique charm of paragliding sports. The highlight will be an event featuring precision landing competitions for both professional and amateur participants.

To enrich the experience, spectators will also be able to sign up for on-site paragliding experiences alongside the precision landing competitions, allowing them to challenge themselves under the guidance of professional coaches.

Furthermore, on the opening day, agricultural and tourism product exhibitions will be held simultaneously at the main venue in Luwo village, and the square of the Xifeng Railway Station, showcasing the achievements of Xifeng's distinctive agricultural development and actively promoting local specialty agricultural products.

The competition will last from Sept 20 to 22. The closing ceremony and award presentation will take place at 6 pm on Sept 22 at the square of the Xifeng Railway Station, where the competition results will be announced and awards will be presented to the winning athletes.

Following this, the Guiyang Roadside Concert will be held at the square of the Xifeng Railway Station, featuring a selection of over 20 songs and offering the public a rich, high-quality musical experience.
