In recent years, Yanglongsi town in Xifeng county, Guiyang, has been striving to turn Jinxiu Taoyuan rural park into a key tourism route for the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism, thus shifting from a single agricultural development approach to a multi-industry integrated development approach.
According to Lei Qiang, chairman of Guizhou Guicai Qianghui Agricultural Co, focusing on peach blossom-themed activities such as farming experiences, leisure sightseeing, and nighttime interactions, the town has integrated cultural performances, sticky rice pounding, large bonfire parties, and other activities to enhance the rural tourism experience.
Jinxiu Taoyuan rural park now can accommodate over 300 diners simultaneously and receives 3,000 visits per month, with an average monthly revenue of 117,000 yuan ($16,087.5).
Efforts have also been made to organize flower-themed cultural tourism festivals and marketing promotion activities during the flower viewing season. Leveraging the influx of visitors, local farmhouse restaurants offer "Peach Blossom Banquets", and there are unique attractions available such as the Peach Blossom KTV, Rose Town Camping Base, and a water park. These initiatives further boost local residents' income and prosperity.
He Xiujiang, the company's general manager, stated that the "company + village collective + farmer" model creates up to 8,000 jobs per year. The company has 15 long-term employees and has distributed nearly 1 million yuan in rent and labor fees. In 2023, the peach orchard harvested 100,000 kilograms of fresh peaches.
