Wenan flower sea blooms in Xifeng's village

The breathtaking Wenan flower sea has bloomed in Wenan village, Xishan town, Xifeng county, Guiyang, offering a vibrant spectacle to visitors in April.

Located just six kilometers from the county area, the 16-hectare flower sea boasts over 30 varieties of vibrant Chinese roses, each meticulously arranged to create a stunning floral tapestry.

"The Chinese roses are drought-resistant and cold-hardy, with diverse varieties, long flowering periods, and high ornamental value," explains Wang Jiang, Party secretary of Wenan village. "After years of cultivation, our village's soil and climate have proven ideal for rose cultivation."

Since November 2016, Wenan village has attracted investment to develop Chinese rose planting, adopting a "company + village collective + farmers" model. Over 13 hectares of lands have been converted for this purpose, aiming to build a Chinese rose cultivation demonstration site.

To enhance the visitor experience, Xishan town has invested in infrastructure development around the Wenan flower sea including facade renovations, colorful paintings on nearby buildings, and the construction of public restrooms, sightseeing pavilions, and rest areas.

"The flourishing roses have not only beautified the village but also injected new vitality into our rural vitalization efforts," says Wang. With the May Day holiday approaching, Wenan village extends a warm invitation to all visitors to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of flowers.
