"In addition to individual efforts, the village collective has also allocated over 30 mu (2 hectares) of land for chrysanthemum cultivation," explained Long Miao, the first secretary of Lyuhua village. "We mainly focus on China asters (callistephus chinensis), which hold both economic and aesthetic value, as they can be used for medicinal purposes, tea, and ornamental viewing during blooming season."

China asters yield 200 to 300 kilograms of dry flowers per mu, with a market price of around 90 yuan per kg. The high quality of Lyuhua village's chrysanthemums ensures strong demand, primarily from nearby cities like Chengdu. The village is optimistic about the future of chrysanthemum cultivation as a key driver of local economic development.
