Xifeng witnesses achievements in various sectors

In recent years, Xifeng county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has seen a significant boost in new-type urbanization, agricultural modernization, and tourism industrialization driven by breakthroughs in new-type industrialization.

Leading new energy battery materials company Shanghai Jayson settled in Xifeng, with major industrial projects like 400,000 metric tons of wet-process purified phosphoric acid and 100,000 tons of electrolyte (Phase I) completed and operational. 

Diversified industries supported a more stable development pattern in the county, with the phosphorus chemical industry as a leading sector and chemical medicine as a featured industry.

In 2023, Xifeng's output value of industries above a designated size exceeded 10 billion yuan ($1.41 million), a milestone inspiring and propelling progress.

Over the past year, Xifeng has made significant efforts to advance new-type urbanization and enhance the quality and integration of urban and rural areas. More livelihood projects were implemented, enriching the residents' sense of happiness.

The county has focused on modernizing agriculture, yielding fruitful results in ecological poultry, fisheries, and specialty fruits. It had become a leading producer in the province for the broiler chicken industry, a key county for facility fishery development, and the city's largest fresh fruit grape picking base.

Xifeng also demonstrated confidence and resilience in the tourism industry. The county earned titles such as "red health tourism and leisure county", "red study and tourism destination" and "top 100 health tourism counties". It welcomed 729,000 overnight visits in2023, a 64.7-percent increase.
