Xifeng county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, reported a year-on-year GDP growth rate of 8.6 percent in 2023, amounting to 187.79 billion yuan ($26.19 billion).
Breaking down the sectors, the added value of the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries reached 28.53 billion yuan, 64.28 billion yuan, and 94.98 billion yuan, respectively, growth rates of 4.8 percent, 17.9 percent, and 4.1 percent from the previous year. The contribution rates of the three sectors to the GDP stood at 15.2 percent, 34.2 percent and 50.6 percent, respectively.
Xifeng's economic performance in 2023 demonstrated balanced growth across all sectors, with the secondary sector notably driving the overall expansion. This robust economic growth bodes well for the county's development in the coming year.
