Renovation of Xifeng's old residential areas in full swing

Renovations on old residential areas in Xifeng county are in full swing, with all projects currently in progress or completed.

In 2023, Xifeng has set a goal to renovate 9,643 households in old residential areas, comprising a total of nine projects, with a planned investment of 250 million yuan ($35.05 million).

The renovation project for old residential areas on both sides of South Street has been designated as a demonstration point for major projects by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

Before the renovation began, the county listened to the needs of residents. During the renovation process, cultural design plans such as "South Street Impressions," "Time Station," and "Old City Memories" have been developed, fully showcasing the distinct historical and cultural aspects of each renovation area.

Building upon the improvement of external wall renovations, community drainage, sewage facility upgrades, and the transformation of damaged road surfaces, additional elements such as cultural walls, landscape sculptures, and decorative lighting have been introduced, highlighting the historical and cultural heritage of the county.

The practical enhancements to the living environment in the neighborhoods meet the daily needs of residents, contributing to an increased sense of satisfaction, happiness, and security among the community.
