Longzhua village in Xifeng county boasts abundant forestry and rainfall, making it suitable for growing edible fungi. Since the beginning of this year, the village has revitalized idle farmlands and planted 50 mu (3.33 hectares) of edible fungi.

The village's fungi plantation specializes in growing winter bamboo mushrooms and bamboo fungi. The base uses a method of simulating wild planting using forest weeds, dry branches, and fallen leaves as fertilizers. This approach is not only economically sound but also enables the recycling of resources.

The more than 10 mu of winter bamboo mushrooms grown in the early stages of the cultivation base saw a bountiful harvest in November. The overall growth conditions were excellent, and the harvesting period continued until the end of the following month.

The daily harvest reached a peak of over 10 kilograms, with a fresh winter bamboo mushroom price of approximately 120 yuan ($16.8) per kilogram. The expected yield per acre is more than 50 kilograms, leading to an additional income of over 60,000 yuan.

The base involves local farmers in various stages, such as laying materials, sowing, covering the soil, and harvesting, creating jobs for local residents and contributing to increased income and prosperity.

The base currently employs five villagers daily, and has paid more than 20,000 yuan to farmers in total.
