Xifeng county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently held a health and sanitation conference, summarizing the work done and achievements made throughout 2022 as well as rolling out work plans for this year.
Representatives from local hospitals and medical centers delivered annual work reports at the event, while government officials from the county's health bureau also addressed the meeting.
Last year, Xifeng expanded the medical service center in Yongyang sub-district and set up a one-stop service center at the county's people's hospital as well as a dental center and a pathological diagnosis center at the county's traditional Chinese medicine hospital.
In addition, Xifeng established a total of 297 nucleic testing sites, conducted 4.86 million tests for locals, and handed out 11,493 health kits to residents.
Moving forward, continued efforts will be made to address weak links in Xifeng's healthcare system, pay special attention to the care and treatment of the elderly and children, and further deepen medical reform.
