Xifeng's ecological fishing takes off

Xifeng county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has worked to introduce ecological fishing business operators. In 2021, the county was home to 19 such business operators, with the aquatic product output reaching 1,634 metric tons. The county now has become a key place in Guizhou when it comes to the development of ecological fishing.

The breeding bases have all adopted the water recirculation model, and collect feces in the water.

Like what fish growers do in Zhejiang province, Xifeng also uses the mountain spring water to raise fish, and emits the water after it meets the purification standard to ensure it is pollution-free.

In addition, the county has successfully built national and provincial healthy aquaculture demonstration fields.
