New scenic spot opens to public

The inauguration ceremony for the Nanshan Tianmu Hot Spring scenic spot, located in Xifeng county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, was held on Jan 7. On the same day, representatives from the Guiyang and Xifeng governments were also present as the scenic spot began trial operations.

The hot springs are located in the Xinluo village in Yongjing town, nearing a forest farm and surrounded by mountains. About 1200 metric tons of hot spring water is generated from the scenic spot every day, with the temperatures maintained at 48 C. The water is rich in radon and other micronutrients.

The scenic spot integrates health maintenance, eco-tourism, catering and business districts, and features distinctive buildings and services.

So far, Xifeng county has built one revolutionary culture and sports demonstration site at the provincial level, and has selected four new provincial and municipal key villages for tourism. In 2022, the county received 5.9 million visits, which generated 6.25 billion yuan ($931.25 million) in local income.
