Xifeng launches campaign to attract more rural talents

Xifeng county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has rolled out a campaign to attract more rural talents from places outside the county.

A total of 60 rural personnel who are skilled in industry development, social governance, living style improvement, charity activities, and technologies have been recognized as county-level talents, and the member number of the township rural talent association has reached 284.

In addition, the county managed to persuade 32 local talents working outside Xifeng to return to their hometowns and work there.

The county-level rural talent association has collected more than 400,000 yuan ($57,520) to build an agricultural product trading center, and about 30 percent of the center's sales revenue will be used to support their rural vitalization endeavors.

Over 130 township and county-level rural talents participated in the pandemic prevention and control work throughout the county.
