Digitalization makes rural governance easier

Xifeng county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province is embarking on a campaign to digitalize government affairs, grass-roots governance, emergency response, and waste disposal.

All 38 administrative approval departments and public service enterprises have already registered in the provincial online government service platform, and about 95 percent of government affairs can now be handled online.

An emergency broadcast system and an online geographical disaster hazard monitoring system have also been established in the county.

In addition, the county's rural garbage collecting and transportation monitoring system collects data from 1,348 waste collection sites and 40 waste transfer trucks.
