Purified water boosts people's happiness

Baozi village in Yanglongsi town, Xifeng county, Southwest China's Guizhou province boasts clean, spacious streets and clear rivers, a result of the town's continuous efforts in water governance.

"After the sewage treatment tank was built, all of our sewage goes there, and people no longer throw rubbish on the street or in the river," said a resident of Baozi village.

Sewage processing and governance have become an important way for the town to bolster rural vitalization and improve the rural living environment.

Fourteen such sewage treatment tanks have been established in the town. In addition, the government has also invested more than 200,000 yuan ($27,560) into the maintenance of sewage pipe networks and the repairing of surrounding facilities of artificial wetlands.
