Construction continues over holiday

During the National Day holiday in the first week of October, the construction of projects arising from Xifeng county's initiative to create 15-minute life circles, build more parking lots and farm produce markets, and renovate shanty towns, old residential areas and street laneways still went on, with construction workers strictly abiding by relevant pandemic prevention and control regulations and staying put in their respective positions.

Xifeng county is located in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province.

At the construction site of a local smart parking structure, the workers were managed in a closed-loop manner, and everyone needed to wear masks in a right way, have their body temperature measured, and register their other related information on a sheet to go to work.

With a total investment of some 70 million yuan ($9.86 million) and a construction area of 8,074 square meters, the parking structure will include five floors for smart parking lots, three floors for business operations, and one floor for traffic transfer.

About 190 parking spaces will be built, with 19 to have charging piles. Completion of the project including a trial run is estimated by the end of this year.

Xifeng has conducted 35 such projects, and to date 23 of them have been put into use, leaving the other 12 under construction.
