Since Sept 6, Party members, medical workers, community staff members, school teachers and retirees in Xifeng county, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province have signed up for volunteer services involved in the COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control work.

Special WeChat work groups have been established to manage the volunteer work. Towns of the county have been required to make sure that every volunteer has a nucleic acid test once and an antigen test twice a day.

Since the beginning of September, Xifeng has experienced three days of lockdown management, six rounds of all-member nucleic acid tests and three rounds of antigen tests. The county has recruited a total of 1,317 volunteers.
