Xifeng county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has doubled down on efforts to prevent COVID-19 outbreaks due to personnel flows from outside the county.

All cars and trains passing through the railway station and highway toll booths in the county will be inspected carefully by the police and medical staff members based there. Drivers and passengers are required to show their health and itinerary codes and then scan the venue code at each station.

"Xifeng has reacted to outbreaks especially in areas of high risk of infection, such as Guiyang and Zunyi. The train station can now distinguish between travellers from different areas quickly in order to reduce the possibility of further infections," said a staff member at Xifeng Railway Station.
