Small business owners enliven Xifeng nights

The nighttime economy is warming up as more people prefer hanging out and shopping at night.

As night fell on July 22 at the Shizijie Plaza of Xifeng county, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, people were seen walking, eating, and enjoying themselves.

The nighttime economy not only provides more entertainment options for residents, but also brings more opportunities to small business owners.

"I am selling computer consumables, but the business is hard to maintain due to the pandemic. So I decided to make and sell drinks during my spare time to increase my income. I can earn hundreds of yuan now because of summer vacation," said a small business owner surnamed Li, who was selling beverages at the plaza.
