The much-anticipated Xiangdao Logistics Park in Xifeng county, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, is expected to begin operating in August this year. Infrastructure for the park has been completed, with office building furnishing, personnel recruitment, and vocational training still ongoing.
The project was invested in by Xifeng Xiangdao Logistics Co. Chen Kunyi, general manager of the company, said that China Railway Chengdu Group Co had decided to use the special rail route of Xifeng Xiangdao Logistics Co starting June 25.
Located in the Xiaozhaiba village of Xiaozhaiba town and having an area of nearly 73,000 square meters, the logistics park involves a planned investment of 450 million yuan ($65.97 million). The project includes the construction of three special rail routes for goods, comprehensive office buildings, container yards, and employees' dormitories.
The park is expected to have a container throughput of up to 200,000 twenty-foot equivalent units and 3 million metric tons of bulk cargo. Meanwhile, it is expected to generate 2 million yuan in revenue and provide 60 jobs for locals.
Xifeng Xiangdao Logistics Co was founded in 2017. It is a subsidiary of Xiangdao Logistics Co and mainly deals with railway and road transportation and provides services in multi-modal transport, international freight forwarding agent, goods storage and delivery, and supply chain finance.
Xiangdao Logistics Co currently boasts more than 80 service sites in China and has rich experience in coal, grain, construction materials, and ore transportation.
