In the past few years, Xifeng county, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has seized all development opportunities and successfully brought in the electrolyte project of Hangsheng New Energy Materials Co.
The first phase of the project is currently under construction with a total investment of 380 million yuan ($55.71 million). Production lines for electrolytes used in fuel cells, energy storage products, and digital devices are being built. After being put into use, the production lines will be capable of producing 30,000 metric tons of electrolytes every year, which are worth 2 billion yuan.
The project agreement was signed in Xifeng at the end of 2021. The company is a high-tech corporation involved in the R&D, design, production and sale of electrolytes used in lithium-ion batteries. It has already extended its business to Hunan, Shandong and Guizhou provinces.
Li Xiaoliang, manager of the project, highlighted the convenient transportation, broad investment prospects, and favorable locality of Xifeng county, which is situated between Zunyi and Guiyang. These conditions have laid a solid foundation for the development of high value added industries.
