Over the first five months of this year, Xifeng county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, recorded 2.01 billion yuan ($298.28 million) in industrial investment, and enjoyed a growth rate of 130 percent year-on-year. It has accomplished 57.5 percent of its annual goal. In addition, Xifeng added two new industrial enterprises above a designated size.
The first phase of the electrolyte project invested in by Guizhou Hisun Lithium Battery Tech Co has been launched and the photovoltaic power station project funded by CNNP Rich Energy Co in Xiaozhaoba town is expected to be put into use in September.
These large projects share broad development prospects and bring benefits to other companies and institutions in Xifeng.
Since the beginning of this year, the county has been focusing on the phosphorus chemical industry and developing special sectors such as lithium battery materials and new materials based on phosphogypsum.
In addition, construction has been accelerated on the Guiyang Healthcare Industrial Park in the county. The park will be responsible for developing medicine for tumors, diabetes, cardio-cerebrovascular diseases and hypertension. Two enterprises have already agreed to move into the park, with 13 other firms intending to cooperate.
To better serve local enterprises, the county government has sorted out existing problems and issues to tackle during the project construction process and worked out ways to address difficulties firms face in forest and energy supply, environmental protection and capital.
From January to May, the county initiated four standard workshop projects and established 43,000 square meters of such workshops.
