Xifeng county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has issued a plan for activities related to the Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on June 3 this year. From June 3 to 5, the county will hold eight activities in celebration of the traditional holiday, according to news reports from the county's bureau of culture and tourism on May 30.
A celebration on June 1 in Liuchang town will feature classic poem recitations and performances. Tourists will receive zongzi – sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves.
From June 3 to 5, a series of educational activities based on revolutionary stories at the Xifeng Concentration Camp will be held.
