The government service center in Xifeng county, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has now been divided into two areas, one for natural persons and the other for legal persons.
Tie Jing, an official from the county's market supervision and regulation bureau, said that paper materials are no longer needed to start businesses. Legal persons just need to register and submit electronic versions of the required materials on Guizhou's official government service website. Usually the application is approved within just one weekday.
"I lost my driver's license, and I thought I would have to return to my hometown in Shandong province to get it replaced, but then I was informed that I can do that locally, so I submitted my physical examination, photo and ID card to a window of the center, and it was done in a couple of minutes," said a resident surnamed An.
The county can now handle 1,514 types of government services, 900 of which can be handled outside Guizhou province.
"We also offer door-to-door services for enterprises," said Yang Qing, a staff member at the county's housing and urban-rural development bureau.
