Rural curtilage reform underway in Xifeng

After four rounds of quotes, a deal was made for a 20 square-meter vacant rural house via the service platform of the Xifeng rural property rights comprehensive operation center. The two sides will sign a formal agreement after the public notification period is over.

The center is located in Xifeng county, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, and was established in 2020 in the wake of the county's rural curtilage reform. It mainly provides services related to rural land management, transfers and deals of land-use rights of rural residential lands.

The platform has helped many entities and individuals carry out rural property right transfers and minimized risks posed by illegal or informal practices.

Among the 237 land property right programs, 36 have been completed, with a contract amount totaling 11.29 million yuan ($1.77 million). The center has also created a WeChat applet for the county's property rights deals.

As Guiyang's only demonstration county for national rural residential land reforms, Xifeng will take bolder measures to form relevant applicable and replicable experience in institutional innovation.
