Chemical drug park to inject vitality into Xifeng

The Guiyang Chemical Drug Industrial Park, built by Xifeng county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, and Guiyang Industrial and Commercial Investment Group Co, is expected to become a distinctive and sustainable park with distinct industrial features and bring new momentum to the county.

Construction of the park is divided into three phases, with the first phase launched in March last year. An active pharmaceutical ingredient base, along with its extended area, and a preparation extended area are included in the construction plan.

The first phase involves a total investment of 1.35 billion yuan ($211.95 million), and about 90 percent of it has been completed. The second-phase of the construction on the park is scheduled to commence in May, according to Ao Mingshu, deputy director of the park's service center.

There are currently 13 enterprises signed to the first phase of the park, which will generate an estimated revenue of 8.87 billion yuan annually, produce 644 million yuan in taxes, and offer jobs to 2,150 people, said Aao.
