In order to assist the local small and micro-sized enterprises in their development, the government of Xifeng county, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province has rolled out several measures, including reducing and deferring the tax payment for them.
Last year the county reduced more than 167 million yuan ($26.05 million) in taxes and deferred over 2.9 million yuan of tax payments from these firms.
In addition, the various local chambers of commerce publicized tax-related information and procedures among enterprise, together with other promotion forms, such as pamphlets, WeChat public accounts and short messages. Entrepreneurs and tax officers in the county were invited to experience the real tax and fee paying procedures.
Moreover, some 70,000 tax receipts were sent directly to taxpayers last year, while more than 95 percent of major taxes and fee payments can now be handled online.
Preferential credit products have also been created and one-on-one instructions about these products have been made available in the county.
