Xifeng county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has recently launched three measures to ensure the efficient implementation of law services, according to local news reports on Sept 30.
A total of 11 legal assistance work stations will be established in Xifeng's towns and districts, and an additional 21 such stations will be set up in the labor union, the women's federation, and other departments in order to see to it that the legal services can reach grassroots levels.
The county will also establish and improve its public law service system and county-level public legal service center, and enhance their pairing with the Legal Service of Guizhou and the 12348 hotline. Xifeng has cumulatively handled eight legal assistance applications and offered legal consultations 85 times this year through the hotline.
The government plans to strengthen public law services by stepping up notarization reforms and issuing specific policies such as door-to-door law services and night services. Special groups such as the elderly and minors will also be given due care and given access to green channels for legal assistance.
There have been 136 cases of legal assistance, 2,565 people have received legal consultation services, and 369 notarization items have been dealt with in Xifeng since the beginning of 2021.
