In 2021, the Xifeng branch of the Agricultural Bank of China – located in Xifeng county, administered by Guiyang city in Southwest China's Guizhou province – has shouldered its corporate social responsibilities by launching an e-loans campaign, designed to galvanize rural industrial development.
By June 28, the branch had cumulatively issued 35.93 million yuan ($5.39 million) in funds to villagers, fulfilling its annual target by 103 percent.
In order to attract as many customers as possible, the Xifeng branch has organized a team that consists of younger staff members to identify potential customers, by visiting nearby villages.
The Xifeng branch also started training programs for all members of the bank, to get them involved in the e-loans marketing activities.
In addition, Party members among the bank clerks have taken the lead to popularize e-loan-related information and help villagers to shake off poverty through financial methods.
