Xifeng's new big data application exhibition center, located at Pingshang Industrial Park, officially opened its doors on May 21, according to local news reports.
Covering an area of 650 square meters, the center boasts 12 big data application display modules, including those relating to new-type industrialization, rural revitalization, smart education, smart transport, city governance and city security, which contain statistics from industry, agriculture, medical care and other major areas.
The rural revitalization module, for example, gains access to data from the rural digital governance and comprehensive service platform, which covers Xifeng's population, rural administration, industrial development, Party-building activities and poverty alleviation work.
The new-type industrialization module showcases the regional industrial layout, industrial structure, output value and production factors, and is a good resource for business decision makers.
Xifeng has taken proactive measures to fulfill its big data strategy in recent years, making a cumulative investment of more than 30 million yuan ($4.5 million) in major fields for civil, commercial and political uses.
The county has also improved its telecommunication services, with more than 1,400 communication base stations built in the region. It has achieved 100 percent of 5G network coverage for urban areas, and 100 percent of 4G network coverage for all administrative villages.
